Emotional-Freedom

 

First, breathe in and out. Then, focus on the pain you are feeling and give it a number on a scale from 0 to 10. 10 being the highest intensity, 0 being non existent. Then start tapping.

 

  • 1st round

Karate Chop Point:
Even though I am feeling this pain again, I completely and deeply accept myself
Even though I wished that was just a bad dream, the pain is back, I completely and deeply accept myself
Even though I feel scared, tired, and frustrated that the pain is back, I completely and deeply accept myself

(EP) The pain is back

(SE) Oh, I hate it

(UE) I hate this pain

(UN) It feels like razors are cutting into me

(CP) And needles too

(CB) It feels like all my organs are glued together

(UA) It makes me scared

(TH) Because I know doctors can’t help me

(EP) Because I know painkillers don’t work

(SE) It scares me

(UE) And frustrates me

(UN) This pain

(CP) My pain

(CB) I wonder if I will ever know how to live with it

(UA) I wonder if it will ever go away

(TH) This pain

Breathe deeply a couple of times, focusing on getting as much air in as possible, then check again how big your pain is, on a scale of 1 to 10.

 

  • 2nd round

Karate chop point:
Even though I am feeling this razor-like sharp pain again, I completely and deeply accept myself
Even though I am scared this pain might never go away, I completely and deeply accept myself
Even though I am frustrated that it affects my life so much, and I can’t control it, I completely and deeply accept myself

(SE) This pain

(UE) It has been part of me for so long

(UN) I wonder if I could ever live without it

(CP) I wonder if I could just decide to let it go

(CB) I wonder if that could be that simple

(UA) What if that was?

(TH) What if I could just decide to let this go

(EP) What if I could just accept it

(SE) Relax

(UE) And let this go

(UN) I know this is not my fault

(CP) I know I am not the only one

(CB) I know I have people around me to catch me

(UA) What if I just let that go

(TH) I let it go

Breathe in and out again and let it go.
