Hormones & Your Health

Hormone balance is key to overall health and wellness, however, when hormones become imbalanced they can wreak havoc in the body.

Hormones enable different parts of the body to communicate and control most major bodily functions, from basic needs like hunger to complex systems like reproduction.

Adrenal glands are located on top of each kidney and synthesise both stress and sex hormones. Some of the key hormones include epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol, estrogen, and testosterone. Dopamine and serotonin are other chemical messengers that play a role in balancing hormones as well.

Did you know the food we eat and environmental chemicals we are exposed to can alter your hormone function?

Did you know some chemicals can actually mimic hormones in the body leading to potentially dangerous health conditions?

There is a very good chance that over the years you’ve experienced negative results from a hormone imbalance, but never understood the cause. Chronic stress, for example, is a major contributor to hormonal imbalances. Stress hormones play an important function, however they can also disrupt other hormone functions often leading to poor health.

My goal is to teach you the importance of stress and sex hormones and natural ways of keeping them in balance which is why I invite you to attend my upcoming class, Optimise Your Health By Balancing Your Hormones.

During this experience, I will also be discussing the role and function of epinephrine, norepinephrine, cortisol, estrogen, testosterone, dopamine, and serotonin during times of stress.

Stress is a Hormonal Response

Chronic stress is on the rise and negatively impacting the health of many by encouraging hormonal imbalance. Everyone experiences and reacts to stressors differently, but regardless the body does not respond well when faced with it consistently.

Far too many women and men struggle with:
– Feeling jittery from stress
– Incessant worries cluttering their mind
– Stress related digestive problems
– Feelings of anger, sadness, and irritability
– Daytime sleepiness and nightly sleep disturbances

And additionally for women:
– PMS and menstrual cramps
– Conditions like endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids

When the natural stress response goes haywire, chronic stress causes prolonged exposure to cortisol, leading to the disruption of almost all the body’s processes.

Many myths that have circulated around the stress response include:
– Stress is the same for everybody.
– Stress is always bad for you.
– Stress is everywhere, so you can’t do anything about it.
– The most popular techniques for reducing stress are the best ones.
– No symptoms equates to no stress.

Don’t fall victim to these myths! Instead, join me to learn natural methods for balancing hormones and reducing the negative effects of chronic stress.
